THE VILLAGE HOUSE

OPENING OUR DOORS TO YOU

Well, here we go again.

We are delighted to open our doors again but pub life in tier 2 means we have had to adjust and adapt once more. We are a pub in the very best sense of the word. A hub for the village. A public house where friends and family gather. That cold pint after a long walk, a quiet one with the newspaper, a quick pint after work or seeing all the locals on a friday night. But that won’t be quite possible at the moment. As proud as we are of our traditional pub values we also have a fantastic kitchen team who have adapted to the pandemic and produced top class food non stop whether we have opened our doors or not. So we will adapt again and try to provide innovative food whatever your needs.

The most important message to you, our customers is to reiterate how safe enjoying your local pub can be.

We can proudly look back and say that since we reopened in July, we have diligently followed all government regulations and collected contact details for EVERY person that came to visit us. Our staff have taken on the extra training and responsibilities incredibly well and we’re really proud of them.

Hopefully every pub should feel the same.

We said back in July that we would never take you for granted and we can honestly say that we have made this a Covid safe venue.

Officially ‘We’re Good to Go’, meeting all industry guidelines which has meant forgoing profit for safety and that will continue.

Now, more than ever, we desperately need your support.

We know everyone has been staying in, observing the lockdown and now they want some Christmas cheer.

We passionately believe that going to a pub or restaurant is the best way to safely socialise and reconnect with the community in a safe, hygienic venue.

From wednesday, you will be able to book tables for up to six people from single households or support bubbles. Our heated patio area can also be utilised for up to six people meeting outside.

Throughout the festive season we will be providing great value food offers, from Christmas lunches, festive tapas dishes, amazing Thai nights, special deals on our wood fired pizza, plus of course our usual, hectic Sunday lunch.

For those staying put, we will continue to provide our lockdown take away and delivery (Findon village only) service, particularly Thai, pizza, fish and chips and Sunday lunch.

We really look forward to seeing everyone and are so grateful for the amazing support and kind words you have given us.

Stay safe and see you very soon.
